We are primarily hunting Fallow Deer - but - also have trophy goats and sheep available.

No, not really. We do guided Fallow Deer Hunts. That includes a day of guiding, animal dressing and preparation (skin and gut) and catering for the day. We would be hunting for a spiker (1-year-old male) or equivalent Doe - depending on the time of year.

We certainly do. Balnagown Hunting has been around for over 20 years - and some of the animals up there have grown into some mighty specimens.

Multiple stags would score over 200 on the Douglas Score. There are Leucistic (white), Melanistic (black) and Common coated animals present - providing the trophy hunter with plenty of choices, in order to find their unique prize.

No. We have client rifles that you are more than welcome to use.

If you do bring your own rifle, we ask that it is sighted in and tested, suppressed, and would highly suggest you bring a bipod.

You most certainly can. Because we provide the meals for everyone present as well as host them at the hut, there is a fee of for each additional person.

We don't recommend that more than one extra person come with you on the actual hunt, for safety reasons, and because the more people that come along, the more noise we will make, and the harder it is actually to hunt.

These animals are not tame. They do not stick around if they hear you coming.

Of course! The Hunters Hut is well appointed, with a double bed as well as four bunks. There is a wood fire, solar lighting (indoor and outdoor), running water and more.

Even if you aren't hunting, it's a great place to stay and just get away!

Yes. We do that a lot. While we have plenty of dense bush for the young fellows to stalk around in, we also have multiple hides on the property and can work with any level of fitness, age or limitations. We love sharing the excitement of the hunting experience with people - and can customise the experience to anyone.

To confirm a booking a 50% deposit of the package rate is required, the final payment paid by the completion of your hunt.

Any cancellation within a fortnight of the booking will incur the loss of deposit.

While Balnagown offers the opportunity to stalk and shoot multiple animals, sometimes it doesn't work out.

If you decide not to pull the trigger or do and the animal gets away, you will still need to pay the guiding and hosting fee.

You can. Remember though, while we will provide you will ample (multiple) opportunities to get an animal, the very nature of bowhunting means you might not be successful.

If you don't drop an animal on the day, or injure one and it gets away, you will still need to pay for the day and hosting.
